Join us for a Sunset Kayak Tour and enjoy the “magic hour”— that beautiful time between sunset and dusk on the water. The warm evening light will give you a new appreciation for the beauty of New York’s natural landscape and provides an unforgettable kayaking experience.
Start your tour with some basic kayaking instruction from one of our experienced guides and continue learning as you paddle out onto the water, taking in the magnificent colors changing in the sky and the reflections of the sunset off of the water.
Sunset trips are suitable for first-timers and are a refreshing experience for seasoned kayakers! All Sunset Kayak Tours end before full darkness sets in, so you’ll have no trouble seeing during the tour. However, just to be safe, you may want to bring a headlamp or flashlight with you, so that you can easily find your way back to the car or train from our launch locations.

Sunset Kayak Tours are timed to local sunsets. Please check our Calendar for start times.

*Please arrive 15-20 minutes before your tour to sign in and get fitted with gear

Safety
Before heading out onto the water your guide will go through basic kayaking tips and instructions.
What to bring
- Headlamp or flashlight.
- Water shoes are encouraged.
Please note that dogs are not allowed to accompany you on the water during this tour.
Participation requirements
Tours are not geared toward younger children. Older children are welcome to participate when accompanied by an adult in a double kayak. To participate independently, the participant needs to be of adult size. For a more kid friendly experience, check out private options or our rental locations.
