Learn the Basics of Kayaking & Paddle Down the Hudson
On a guided tour with Hudson River Recreation, you can expect a fun, safe and unforgettable experience on the water – whether you’re a first time kayaker or have a bit of experience. We will provide you with the gear and give you tips and pointers to make sure you have an incredible time during your tour. Your experienced guide will show you the ins and outs of kayaking.
Located just a short ride from the city and accessible by Metro North, a guided tour on the river with us is the perfect way to enjoy New York’s natural beauty. During your paddle down the Hudson, you’ll pass the historic Tarrytown Lighthouse – built in 1883 – before heading towards the Tappan Zee Bridge – a recently constructed, stunningly designed bridge that connects Westchester and Rockland Counties over the Tappan Zee, which at 3 miles wide is one of the widest points on the Hudson River.
