We are located at the eastern tip of Tarrytown Reservoir, behind the “Old Pump House,” a large antiquated structure. Parking is not permitted in the turnaround next to the Old Pump House — Tarrytown Police will issue tickets for cars parked here.
Please park in the “Park and Ride” lot across the street from the Old Pump House, cross at the crosswalk, and follow the trailway up the hill to our launch location.
Please plan to arrive with enough time to find parking. There is additional parking available in the North County Trailway Parking Lot. Please note: it is best to use the North County Trailway to walk back to our location. Avoid the main road — there is no sidewalk. It may be best to drop your group off at the Old Pump House before heading to the additional parking lot.
Unfortunately, the Tarrytown Lakes location is not easily accessible from public transportation. It is a short drive from the Tarrytown train station, served by Metro-North Railroad’s Hudson Line. We recommend hiring a car from one of these train stations for the brief trip to our location.
However, we are located along the Tarrytown Lakes Extension of the North County Trailway — we encourage you to walk or bike to us if you’re feeling adventurous!
he south entrance of Kingsland Point Park. We are located at the north end of the park.
For Personal Kayaks: The Village of Tarrytown requires that all personal kayaks are affixed with a resident-only permit. No other personal kayaks are permitted to paddle on the Tarrytown Lakes.
Tarrytown residents may apply for this permit through the Parks and Recreation Department — find their contact info here: https://www.tarrytowngov.com/parks-and-recreation-department
Stand Up Paddleboarding is not permitted on the Tarrytown Lakes.
